Creative. Passionate. Inexperienced.
The trinity which clearly outlines my impeccable competence as a graphic-designer (;

Introduction
Hello, my name is Silas, I am 19 years old and currently finishing my five year education on graphic-design at HLW KSLinz.
At our school we get educated quite broadly in order to have a big range of knowledge when it comes to all things graphic design! What exactly this vague description includes and how I personally executed it will be provided as you scroll!
Now, I hope you have a great time exploring my work (:

What i like to do in my free-time
I personally really enjoy scouting, snowboarding, reading and last but not least spending time with my friends and loved ones! (:

Scouting
I’ve been a scout since I was seven years old, which is a long time considering I am 19 now. Still my favourite hobby, especially the international camps always really warm my heart (:

Snowboarding
As the proper Austrian that I am, I used to be a skier through and through, but eventually I did get bored of that and picked up Snowboarding! (:

Reading
This is probably my calmest most “boring” hobby, however I do really find comfort in that, especially when I can’t be social at the moment and don’t want a screen-time of like 10 hours or even more

Friends
I don’t really think this one needs any explanation, we all love our friends very dearly and the time which I can spend with them is always the one I’m looking forward to the most throughout the entire week
Now to my Work
During my time in school I have worked with a bunch of different programs, while learning all types of skills needed to be a solid graphic designer. Let me show you some of the creations I made (;
1. Year
Adobe Illustrator
During our first year we were mainly focusing on 2D graphics as well as logo-design, which was fine but not my particular favourite.
You can see some of my (in all honesty very poorly done) work below (:
2. Year
Adobe Photoshop
In our second year we finally got to photography (which is the main reason I chose this school). We learned how to properly edit pictures in Photoshop, and during our theoretical lessons we were taught colour-theory.
2. Year
Photography
Not only did we learn how to edit pictures, but also how to properly take them. We were taught what we needed to consider about light and so on. Thanks to the professional cameras provided by our school, we now know how they work, what we need in order to take good pictures and where we find each important setting. Thanks to my solid homework I am now given the opportunity of doing lots of photography for my school during important events, which is amazing practice! (:
3. Year
Adobe InDesign
During our third year we learned all about Layout-Design. We had to design a report about a school-trip we had, and at the end of the year we had to hand in a cookbook we designed working professionally in Adobe InDesign.
It was quite a fun year with an amazing teacher which I look back at fondly. It is probably the program I’m best at from all the ones we’ve learned (:
4. Year
3DS Max
Finally in our fourth year we learned 3D-Design and Videography (although I don’t have any work I can share on here from that unfortunately).
But you CAN see some of my 3D-Designs, which I hope you’ll enjoy! (:
Projects
Additionally to our regular lessons we also had a bunch of subjects we just did projects in to use our skills in a more realistic context. One of these was an entire corporate-design for an imaginary company.

Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoyed learning about me! (:
